Orbital Archive Shipping Policy

Thank you for choosing Orbital Archive. We operate as a professional Print-on-Demand (POD) brand. This means every record, garment, and archival print is custom-manufactured specifically for you only after you place an order. This model allows us to offer a wider range of unique designs while reducing waste, but it does mean our shipping process includes a mandatory production phase.
1. The Production Cycle (Fulfillment)
Because we do not maintain a "ready-to-ship" inventory, all orders must undergo a high-fidelity printing and quality-control process.

Standard Fulfillment: Orders typically take 2–7 business days to be produced before they are ready for dispatch.

Peak Seasons: During holidays or high-demand periods, production may extend up to 10 business days.

Manufacturing Partners: We utilize professional production hubs, specifically Printful Inc. and Printify Inc., to ensure museum-grade quality.

The 2-Hour Rule: Please note that because production begins shortly after purchase, you have a strictly enforced 2-hour window from the time of purchase to request a cancellation or address change.
2. Global Fulfillment & Shipping Locations
To minimize transit times and reduce our carbon footprint, your order is automatically routed to the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Primary Hubs: We fulfill from specialized facilities across the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Split Shipments: If you order different types of products (e.g., a framed canvas and a t-shirt), they may ship separately from different specialized facilities to ensure they are packaged safely and reach you as quickly as possible.
3. Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates
We utilize a weight-based shipping system to provide the most accurate international rates.

Note: Total Delivery Time = Production Time (2–7 days) + Transit Time.
4. Tracking & Notifications

Dispatch Email: You will receive an automated notification with a tracking number and a link to the carrier’s website as soon as your order leaves the production facility.

Activation Period: Please allow 24–48 hours for the tracking information to update in the carrier’s system.

Troubleshooting: If your tracking number shows no movement after 3 business days of receiving the email, please contact us at orbital.archive.hq@gmail.com.
5. International Customs, Duties, and Taxes
While Orbital Archive is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, our global production model means orders may ship across international borders depending on facility availability.

Customer Responsibility: Orders shipped outside the country of production may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country.

Liability: Orbital Archive is not responsible for these charges; they are the sole responsibility of the customer.
6. Address Integrity & Undeliverable Packages
The buyer is responsible for providing a 100% accurate shipping address at checkout.

Re-shipping Fees: If a package is returned to our production partner due to an incorrect address provided by the customer, the customer will be billed for the cost of re-shipping the item.

Loss Liability: We cannot offer refunds or free replacements for items "lost in transit" or delivered to the wrong location due to an incorrect address provided at checkout.
7. Missing or Lost Packages
If your tracking information indicates "Delivered" but you have not received your package, please take the following steps:

Verify the delivery location with neighbors or your building manager.

Contact your local post office or the carrier listed in your tracking email.

Wait 2 additional business days, as carriers occasionally mark items as delivered prematurely.

If the package is still missing, contact us at orbital.archive.hq@gmail.com. While we are not liable for carrier errors, we will do our best to help you file a claim.
